Inside the SoundGhost Record Label

 

 

Today, we’re excited to reveal the SoundGhost label! The first release, Still Fades ‘Moment’ is out now on a limited edition cassette and all streaming platforms. All our releases feature unique art designed with our minimalist aesthetic and a few other goodies I’ll share below.

 

TAPES

First off, we’ve decided to embrace the world of the cassette, as many of our community do. We’ve worked hard to ensure a high-quality master for both cassette and digital, working with Taylor Deupree of 12k. Each tape comes with a semi-transparent and frosted cassette with on-body prints plus a SPARK card:

SPARKS

Each physical album on the label comes with a unique SPARK card collectable, showcasing a creative idea for you to use in creative roles or daily life. Printed on a premium recycled card stock, these are something you can turn to if you’re out of ideas, generally struggling with a task or want a little spark of inspiration. Each SPARK features a unique art colour-coded the same as the album it’s tied to and numbered accordingly. Each card’s suggestion is offered by the artist and is unique to that specific release on the label, not to individual physical copies. Collect SPARKS from different releases to build a deck of inspiring ideas for day-to-day use. Start with Spark 001 inside our first release, ‘Moment’, and look for Spark 002 in the next release, and so on.

SPECIAL EDITION (NOTES+PRINTS)

There’s also a SPECIAL EDITION bundle for each release, containing NOTES + PRINT alongside the tape+spark.

NOTES (above) are something we’re very excited about – NOTES are printed booklets written by the artist detailing the thought process behind each track and the album. Sit back, relax and learn something new about the album while you listen and get a glimpse of their process while creating it. These are extremely limited, so grab one if you can. These are printed on a recycled paper stock that’s beautifully textured, both to touch and visually, giving them an organic feel.

Each bundle includes a special edition PRINT (shown above) – so if you enjoy a particular piece of album art, you can display it in your home or wherever you like. These are printed on a pure-white A5 card stock. These come hand-stamped on the back for authenticity.

THE FUTURE
