How do the tools work?
Tools are loaded as web applications, and run locally inside your browser. Save them as a favourite inside your browser to use them at any time, anywhere.
How are my files handled?
We do not store or have any access to the sounds you use – everything is loaded locally within your browser. Give it a try – turn off your internet and the apps will still work. :))
What browser should I use?
Tools will work in most modern browsers. We recommend using an up to date browser, such as Chrome, Safari, Edge or Firefox.
Why web apps? Why not plugins?
No install, no authorization, no separate builds for Mac/PC/VST/AU etc – just open the page and it works. Everything runs client-side too: your audio never leaves the browser, so there’s nothing to upload, no account, no wait.
The tradeoff is honest: these are utility tools for prepping and shaping samples. slicing, mixing, exporting – not real-time processors living inside a DAW session. For that, you still want a plugin. SoundGhost’s tools are built for the workflow around your DAW, not inside it.
