Frequently Asked Questions
Downloads
A download link is available instantly after payment in your account area in addition to being emailed to you. If you didn’t receive an email with your download link, please check your spam folder.
Our download system is very reliable and secure, but if you do have any issues feel free to contact us and we’ll be happy to help.
Your download links should be available in 2 places – in an email order confirmation and within your account area. If for any reason you’re missing the download links in your account or did not receive our email, contact us and we’ll get you a download link ASAP!
Please refer to the ReadMe file inside in your download folder. You can also refer to our tutorials.
All our samples are named with Key (if applicable), BPM (loops only), one word description, instrument type, variation (if applicable) and a pack number identifier. So:
BPM_Key_DescriptionInstrument_Variation_SG_PackNumber.wav
For example, an ambient pad loop at 100 BPM in B minor, from our 11th pack could be named: 100_Bm_SpaceyPad_02_SG_11.wav If it’s a one shot, without an audible key/note and no other version: SpaceyPad_SG_11.wav
In this case, SG_11 simply stands for SoundGhost followed by the unique pack number: 11. Each sample pack has its own unique number, making it easier to locate where a sample may have come from.
Plugins
Absolutely! Just download the demo version on the product page. Our plugin demos include some limitations, for example a 5 second silence every 45 seconds, and/or functionality limitations, but all core functionality will be present.
Nope. Simply download the plugin, install it and start using it instantly. 🙂
Please refer to the ‘Requirements’ section at the bottom of the plugin webpage. We do not currently support Pro Tools/AAX.
We’re always happy to help – contact us here. Please include any details that would be helpful for us to identify the issue, for example your operating system/DAW versions and provide a detailed description of the problem.
You can install your plugin on any devices that you personally own.
Sometimes FL Studio causes audio artefacts due to the DAW having a variable buffer size – effecting not just our plugins, but others too. To fix, click the cogwheel on the FL Studio plugin window which is affected. Then go to the Troubleshooting tab and select ‘Use Fixed Buffers’.
Also ensure ‘Align Click Lengths’ is selected in FL Studio preferences under the Audio>CPU tab.

Kontakt
Lofi Piano and our other Kontakt instruments do not require a serial number for installation. You just need to download the instrument ZIP, extract it and load the NKI file in Kontakt, either by dragging and dropping the file or using the native Kontakt browser. This is referenced in the ‘Installation’ portion of the manual which is also included in our Kontakt instrument downloads.
There are 2 versions of Kontakt available – Kontakt (full version) and Kontakt Player (free).
All our Kontakt libraries and instruments are compatible with the full version of Kontakt which you can purchase from Native Instruments. Kontakt Player can load libraries that are “powered by Kontakt” without any demo restrictions. 3rd party libraries that are not powered by Kontakt will load in demo mode. Demo mode lasts 15 minutes.
If you open our instruments in Kontakt Player, they will open in demo mode. Open the full version of Kontakt to load the instrument without any restrictions.
About
See https://soundghost.net/about for more information. You can also contact us here.
Our little ghost is a simple recreation of a synthesiser sawtooth wave. You can also see this on our sample packs, where the logo is shown within a sawtooth wave. It simply represents our role of silently helping you make music – our tools our simple to use and (hopefully!) don’t get in your way.
