Hybrid Grooves
Micro Beats is a unique hybrid drum and percussion sample pack crafted for producers seeking tight, characterful rhythms that blend the warmth of acoustic textures with the punch of modern electronic sound design.
Built around the concept of “micro” acoustic drums, this pack steers away from big, open kits – think the opposite of Bonham. Instead, it embraces smaller, more muted drums to create intimate, percussive grooves with attitude. Expect the natural presence of mini bongos, frame drums, marching snares, piccolo snares, a 16” bass drum, heavily dampened toms, and mini hi-hats – each recorded for maximum detail and tone.
To round out the spectrum, these organic elements are fused with beefy, custom-designed electronic drums made entirely on the Elektron Analog Rytm MKII. The result is a palette that feels both gritty and modern – imagine Burial’s moody depth meeting J Dilla’s swing and groove.
Loops in this pack are longer than the norm, offering natural variation and evolution within each groove – ideal for keeping your beats alive and human. Tempos range from 70 to 160 BPM, covering a broad spectrum from chilled downtempo to energetic uptempo.
